MANHATTAN, IL — The Manhattan Police Department is looking for information related to a string of vandalisms Monday police said was committed by a group of juveniles. A group of juveniles is believed to be responsible for egging cars, damaging property, trashing the Metra station in town and taking food from the food pantry near Fritz's Saloon, 225 S. State St., according to Manhattan Police Chief Jeff Wold. The incidents happened at various times between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m., Wold said. The juveniles were part of a group that included between two and five of them per incident, Wold said. Manhattan PD is asking anyone with security footage of the incidents to contact Detective Jim Goode at (815) 418-2127, or to email security footage to [email protected].
