Naperville Offers Grants To Aid Small Businesses Amid Pandemic

NAPERVILLE, IL — The city of Naperville recently announced it will issue a round of grants to aid small businesses in the midst of the ongoing pandemic. The Naperville Small Business Assistance Grant is making a total of $100,000 available to small businesses in need via the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Qualifying businesses can get a grant of up to $5,000 to help with payroll, rent or mortgage costs, personal protective equipment or other pandemic-related expenses. To apply for the grants, a business must: Be open and operating in Naperville city limits with a valid Naperville certificate of occupancy Be owned by a U.S. citizen or legal residentEmploy 50 or fewer people Have annual revenue of less than $2 million in 2019Be able to document a negative impact of the pandemic on business incomeGrant recipients will be chosen via a lottery.
