Newtown Cheer Team Heading To Cheerleading Worlds

Rock Starz All Stars Cheerleading, an All Star Cheerleading gym right in Newtown will once again represent Newtown at the US All Star Federation (USASF) Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, Florida this April. The Diamonds, the gyms Level 6 Senior Small Coed Open team earned an At Large bid to the annual cheerleading worlds last weekend at the Varsity Spirit Mid Atlantic Championships in Wildwood, NJ. They are 1 of 7 teams to receive a bid from the championships. The team itself won the 3rd place trophy in their division with a score of 95.2708. The champion title when to Prophecy from Big 10 Cheer in Hermon, Maine. This is not the first time the team has been to the Cheerleading Worlds. They won an At Large bid last year and placed 11th in the prelims and they did not move on to the semifinals but sources tell us that they are very proud of what they accomplished and they can't wait to be even better this year. The USASF Cheerleading Worlds will occur from April 24th-26th 2020 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
