LAKEVILLE, MN — Lakeville ranks No. 2,244 among all places in the United States, according to a new study from Niche. The "best places" ranking includes both cities and local neighborhoods. "The Best Places to Live ranking provides a comprehensive assessment of the overall livability of an area," the stats and analytics website states. Their study "takes into account several key factors of a location, including the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics, and access to amenities in an attempt to measure the overall quality of an area." Data used in the study came from the U.S. Census, the FBI, federal health and labor statistics, plus millions of resident reviews. For the third year in a row, Niche found that Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania — a suburb outside of Philadelphia — is the best place to live in the U.S. Here's how Niche grades Lakeville against its key metrics: Public Schools: A Crime & Safety: B Housing: A-Nightlife: B-Good for Families: A+ Diversity: B Jobs: A Weather: C+ Cost of Living grade: B-Health & Fitness: B+ Outdoor Activities: A- Commute: B+Here are the top ten places to live in Minnesota, and where they rank nationally: Falcon Heights — No. 197 (best place to live in America)Eden Prarie — No. 220 Lauderdale — No. 373 Edina — No. 423 Shoreview — No. 522 Plymouth — No. 782 Mendota Heights — No. Chanhassen — No. 879 Shorewood — No. 937 Arden Hills — No. 1,097 These are the 2022 best places to live in America: Chesterbrook, PACity Center, CAPenn Wynne, PAHouserville, PACottonwood Creek South, TX "Whether our users are young professionals, parents with young kids, or retirees, Niche's Best Places to Live rankings serve as an excellent starting point for considering a move," said Luke Skurman — CEO and founder of Niche — in a news release.
