CHICAGO, IL — The Chicago Bears agreed to contract terms with former Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi on Monday, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. The contract is for three years and $40.5 million with $26.35 million guaranteed, according to the report. Monday marked the beginning of the NFL's legal tampering period where players and teams can negotiate contracts. Ogunjobi can't officially sign the deal until Wednesday, when the league's new year begins. Ogunjobi, 27, put together the best season of his 5-year career in 2021, recording seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss to help the Bengals reach the Super Bowl, where they lost to the Los Angeles Rams. He signed a one-year, $6.2 million contract with Cincinnati, according to Spotrac, after spending the first four years of his career with the Cleveland Browns, who drafted him in the third round out of Charlotte.
