NEWTOWN, PA — The coronavirus pandemic has made 2020 a trying year for local businesses, with shutdowns and tightened restrictions on occupancy rates forcing entrepreneurs to get creative. We recently asked readers to help us shine a spotlight on local businesses that have gone the extra mile during the coronavirus pandemic. State St. This restaurant is Newtown's version of Cheers. The owner greets you with a smile and usually by name. The food is great and special orders are never a problem. I know this because I am a picky eater. With the cold weather coming I know this is the place to always find a great soup. All are homemade. Mom Mom's Gourmet Take N' Bake156 N. State St. Best pizza, sandwich, soup, ever! All fresh and made to order! Lovely owner and staff and wholesome atmosphere!! The Grey Stone Fine Food and Spirits552 Washington Crossing Road Great outdoor patio & good service! Opus Elite Real Estate16 S. State St. Great staff, efficient and great customer service. Get the job done. Synergy Sports & Orthopedic Physical Therapy Customer Service is impeccable and the office has always been exceptionally clean and sanitized even before the pandemic. They have kept their patients fully informed during this pandemic. Like many people during this pandemic, several family members and acquaintances overdid things. Thankfully Dr. Jamie Oatman fit them and me into her limited scheduling immediately. If it wasn't for Dr. Jamie, I still would not be able to lift my arm. Relax.
