NAPERVILLE, IL — A Lockport woman is facing felony theft charges after police say she stole a Yorkshire terrier puppy from a Naperville Petland store Saturday. Alicia Johnson-Medrano, 22, is accused of hiding the puppy in her jacket and leaving the store. Johnson-Medrano was arrested outside the store at 720 S Route 59 and taken into custody. The puppy, valued at $9,900 was safely returned to the store. Johnson-Medrano was charged with felony theft and retail theft.
