Because the massive gun lobby, the NRA and gun manufacturers, are so powerful, they have convinced feeble minded folk that "gun regulation doesn't work" and therefore have worked tirelessly to rid America of all gun regulations. Gerald Brevard III, 30, has a long history of mental illness, gun related violence and is a convicted felon, having served time in prison. Any of that should have prevented Mr. Brevard from ever owning/possessing a firearm. His most recent attempt to get a kick out of life was to randomly shoot, sometimes killing, other times causing life altering injury to the most vulnerable of American citizens. Well done, gun nuts. Your tireless campaigning here and other forums, your censoring all speech condemning your bloody lust of guns (watch how fast this post goes, kiddies!) and your irrational interpretation of an amendment created when we were an occupied land has sure made us safer and happier as a nation, hasn't it? We're pretty sure Mr. Brevard was a member of a well regulated Militia, right?
