Verigent, a nationwide leader in telecom & IT staffing, is searching for motivated, hardworking, driven individuals interested in starting a career in telecom. We are offering a free, 2-day training program starting March 22-23 in Tempe, AZ. Participants will learn the fundamentals of low voltage cable installation. This program is set to serve as a gateway to various job opportunities for telecom in the Phoenix metro area market. Candidates selected for the program with experience hands-on learning with the following: • Receive on-the-job skills and hands-on equipment training in telecom installation o Safety practices, tools and equipment specifics commonly used on jobsites o Understanding the difference between OSP and ISP o Closet buildout techniques with hands-on training and demonstration o Cable pulling, placement, pathways, navigation, stringing, separating and best practices o Termination “how-to” including Cat5 and Cat6 cable, coaxial cable, modular vs. non-modular patch panels, and faceplate installation o General testing techniques, tips for identifying pass/fail readings plus proven ways for handling a tester o Job etiquette, tool identification, cabling-related terms, and on-site documentation • Bonuses and incentives also available to all participants Employment opportunities are available upon completion of training, including bonuses and incentives.
