Bucks County Community College To Stay Mostly Remote In Spring

NEWTOWN, PA — Spring semester courses at Bucks County Community College will remain mostly online and remote, extending the plan put in place this fall, the college announced Thursday. Students will be allowed to come to campus for courses that have a required hands-on component, including portions of health sciences, chemistry, culinary arts, kinesiology, workforce training, public safety training and some music and arts. The plan is identical to what was implemented for the fall semester amid the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. "We did not make any of these decisions lightly, and our first priority is ensuring that our Bucks community stays safe and healthy," College President Stephanie Shanblatt wrote in an email to students Thursday. The decision was made in collaboration with a team led by Provost Lisa Angelo that consulted with faculty and staff, Shanblatt said. See also: BCCC Freezes Tuition For Next Year
