Job description: We are a Mosquito Control Company servicing the Austin area. We have been servicing both residential and commercial customers. We are looking for a well-qualified Technician. Job Objective: Applicant will be trained to become familiar with the inspection procedures necessary to evaluate mosquito infestations, conducive conditions, and potential pest problems. You will trained to identify signs of mosquito activity, treatment options, pest Identification, chemical formulations, environmental impact of chemicals, and safety regulations. The Technician will Inspect, Identify, and consult with customers regarding Mosquito Control Services for their properties, including Integrated Pest Management, Low impact services, Organic treatments, and pesticide options. You will perform mosquito control services to Commercial and Residential customers in the Austin and surrounding areas. Job Functions: Perform daily inspection and treatment of residential and commercial properties including: Inspection, evaluation, treatments, and maintain proper paperwork. Inspect and evaluate conducive environments for treatment Apply mosquito fogging treatments based on frequency and product label recommendations Responsible for servicing mosquito misting systems. Assists with repairs to mosquito misting systems. Assists with Installing new mosquito misting systems. Operate a motor vehicle and use electrically and manually powered hand tools for securing objects to surfaces. Support existing or new product offerings Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or equipment. Meet physical requirements and/or pass medical certification in compliance with state and/or federal regulatory requirements and company safety policies relating to carrying and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to an OSHA compliant respirator. Applying pesticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions. Responding on a timely basis to customers' requests for telephone and in-person service calls as well as calling customers to confirm scheduled services. Complete assigned service appointments in accordance to daily schedule and performance metrics Support ancillary field operation requirements as necessary Update Field App in accordance with standard operating procedures for work order completion Compliance to all safety standard operating procedures Maintain vehicle cleanliness, all equipment, and material levels on a weekly basis. Perform other duties as assigned. Education / Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Experience is very helpful, however we are willing to train the right person. - Organization skills- Troubleshooting skills - Understand safety practices - Outgoing and able to communicate your finding - Must be able to take direction and work well with others Requirements: Physical: Walking, driving, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching. Must have the ability to accept responsibilities, perform duties under stress, adapt to situations requiring preciseness and adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
