WASHINGTON CROSSING, PA — Supporters of President Donald Trump will walk across the Delaware River on Sunday to pay homage to George Washington and the American troops who fought in the Revolutionary War.
The group plans to gather at the foot of the bridge at the intersection of Route 532 and Route 32 in Upper Makefield Township around 12 p.m. Sunday, according to the People 4 Trump organization.
A George Washington re-enactor will be among those delivering remarks to the crowd at 1 p.m. before they walk across the bridge into New Jersey. Other speakers have not yet been announced.
The group will also be marching in support of President Trump "to safeguard the freedoms of our great country just as Washington did during Revolutionary War," according to a news release.
People 4 Trump was responsible for the Trump Road Rally in Bucks County on Oct. 17 that drew more than 1,000 vehicles for a parade from Newtown to Doylestown.
