NOTE: Woburn area and immediate surrounding towns only! I will teach beginner drummers the basic fundamentals of how to play Rock, Pop, Soul/R&B. I can also teach how to play in a Worship/Church band. Subjects include: proper kit set-ups (ergonomics), drum tuning, stick grips, basic rudiments, beat development, and learning how to play along to their favorite songs/music. My goal is to get the drummer comfortable playing drums with a band, to inspire them to continue learning drums, and to set them on a life-long journey of developing their playing skills. • $40 per each one-hour lesson. • The lessons will take place in your home. I think it's important the Student initially learn on their own gear. I believe it's a more comfortable environment and it inspires them to play more. • In-home lessons for Students under the age of 18 must have a Parent or Guardian at home for the entire time I’m there. We can discuss weekly or bi-weekly lessons based on your budget and schedule. My resume: I’m 64, and have played drums for 40+ years. Growing up, I played in local bands in and around Boston. I have a deep love of ALL types and music and drumming. Since 2013, I've been serving at Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA as well as Grace’s other campuses as a Christian Worship Drummer. Requirements: Students must have their own drum practice pad, a metronome or metronome app, Drum sticks, a drum throne (seat) and any sized Electronic or Acoustic drum set complete with a hi-hat and cymbal(s).
