Quarry Laborer

Description

The laborer will assist with production, perform general labor tasks, maintain plant housekeeping, assist with routine maintenance on plant and equipment and provide assistance in all areas of the plant as needed. Qualifications: • Valid license and reliable transportation • Pass pre-employment physical and drug test • Ability to perform essential functions of the position • Lift 100 pounds on a repetitive basis • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions Essential Responsibilities: • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. These duties include primarily shoveling spillage areas, lubricating machinery, monitoring plant conveyors, screens, crushers, feeders, and pumps. Inspect plant daily. • Maintain yard and equipment. • Perform minor preventative maintenance and replace worn and/or damaged components as needed. Assist with other maintenance as needed. • Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations, and procedures, per company policies and MSHA standards. • Perform duties with minimum supervision. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Perform pre-shift inspection reports • Must be service oriented with a proven ability to work in a TEAM environment • Must be able to follow instructions as well as make some independent decisions • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders on a repetitive basis Benefits: • 401K • Paid Vacation • Medical, Dental, Vision
