Hello - My sister-in-law passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last week. She has a beloved cat, Maddie, that has lived with her for 14 years. My husband and I live in Vermont. He is flying out to take care of her apartment. We would love to take the cat, but we would have to put her on a plane to get her to our home and think that would be too stressful on her. We also don't want to send her to a shelter because that would absolutely not be what my sister would have wanted. Can you help? She is a sweet, shy cat.
