Title: Construction Foreman Directly Reports To: Chief of Operations Collaborates With: Landscape Architect & General Manager Objective/Description: Oversee all aspects of landscape installation and special projects while ensuring that TexaScapes’ quality standards and a safe work environment are maintained. This includes meeting job budgets in both man-hours and materials as well as properly maintaining and caring for all equipment and tools. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Leadership: This is a leadership position. Candidate must be able to lead a 2 to 4-person crew to safely accomplish tasks on time, creating quality results. Project direction will be given by the Landscape Architect or Chief of Operations. Construction Foreman should be able to execute the project with the crew after first verbal or written instruction. Problem solving as challenges arise, leaning on experience, logic and other experienced employees. Expectations: Construction Foreman will typically lead a 3-person crew through landscape installation, demolition and special projects. Projects include bed layout, planting, irrigation, grading, sod laying, masonry, small concrete work, some carpentry, demolition, riparian repair and various special projects. Construction Foreman will be responsible for equipping crew prior to leaving company property each morning. Construction Foreman will be responsible for purchase of materials and scheduling of deliveries for their projects. Construction Foreman will perform all crew leader duties including entering crew time and check into projects with mobile time keeping system on company smart phone. Performance will be evaluated based on attitude, quality of finished product, consistently completing projects on-time and completing projects on-budget. Qualifications: Landscape or Construction experience preferred. Previous leadership experience is an advantage. Self-motivated with a positive attitude. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred. Active Irrigators license a plus. Must have a clean driving record, be able to consistently pass drug tests and be on-time and dependable.
