Hello, my name is Michelle and I am volunteer testing to go work in an abandoned gold mining town called Cerro Gordo! You can check it out online either YT or IG! It is an amazing place. A small group of just bought the town a couple years ago. We have been rebuilding the town, 1 building at a time! I am headed up April 1st...no joke. We are all doing it for free. I am on disability because I have terminal Luekemia and although I was a CFO and successful I had to give up my job. I want to do something meaningful with however long I have left! So we have been asking g for donations of anything that could be of use in rebuilding the town. I am desperately searching for a dirt bike and something 4x4....anything that will get me up and down a treacherous mountain dirt road! We are always looking for any supplies that could help, specifically: 1", 2" and 3" torx screws Rain barrels Chicken wire Hay Water (we currently do not have running water yet! So.lots and lots of water Cat food and litter Any canned food or sustainable food....sometimes we have volunteers on the weekend shad we try to feed everyone...sometimes we have had up to 100 volunteers on nice weekends Any camping equipment you may no longer be using Hunting gear If you have any meat that need stop be eaten, especially elk or venison ( I will be hunting this year but I missed last year due to my illness Roofing nails Batteries Potting soil Ok so pretty much any tools, equipment. Instead of goodwill think of Cerro Gordo!!! It is the best way to spend my time restoring some history, donating my time and money and opening up a new world for some of the younger and older community. Then maybe 1 weekend you and your family cam come up and camp for the weekend and I will cook you the best meal!!! Thanks for reading and repost anywhere if you do not mind. Michelle
