Farmers Market Associate

We are looking for someone to manage our farmers market booth on Saturday mornings in Waynesville and in Brevard. The position pays $17/hr. for the first two weeks and if everything is a good fit, pay will increase to $19/hr. The associate will pick up everything for the market in Asheville and then drive to the market location (either Waynesville or Brevard) to set up. We then meet again after the market in Asheville. Hourly pay starts from when everything is picked up in Asheville and returned to Asheville. In other words, time driving to and from each market location is also compensated. We are looking for someone who possesses the following: - have experience in a public-facing role - be available Saturday mornings - have a reliable car that is large enough to fit a canopy and a couple of coolers - be able to work independently - enjoy working with people - be punctual and reliable - be able to lift up to 40 lbs. The job does not require selling, only customer service and a good attitude. The products being sold are value-added foods (not produce).
