Looking to pull together some talented like-minded women for a 70's cover band. I grew up in a musical family. My grandmother raised her children playing in the bars on Bourbon Street in the French Quarters and I spent several years as a studio singer in LA during my day. Been here on Maui for about 12 years and at a place now where I really miss music in my life and looking for a creative space to feed my spirit. I miss the music of the 70's, a time for me that will never come again. And, in my opinion, an era that produced some of the best music in history. Looking for keyboard, guitar, drums and bass to start. But open to sax or other instruments. You never know where this may lead. Who knows, we may end up with a unique sound. (Must have your own equipment and instruments.) Getting together for fun and creative expression. To put a set or two together...maybe book a few gigs if our chemistry is there. But NO STRESS or pressure!! The purpose of this group is to provide like-minded women a channel for self expression. Yes, we all have bills to pay but that's what a job or retirement is for. We'll meet on weekends as schedules allow and see where the energy of Maui leads us. But most of all, it will be fun and satisfying. Btw, you don't have to BE from the 70's to participate or join the group, but you do have to be female, vaccinated and boosted. So make your list of your favorite 70's hits and let's get together and make some magic.
