Press release from Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce: Oct. 5, 2020 The Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce hosted the 60th Annual Awards Celebration on Thursday, October 1. The event, which has historically been held in-person at the Pechanga Resort Casino, was livestreamed on the Chamber's social media channels and is now available for viewing on both Facebook and YouTube (watch video above). The new format was necessary because of the COVID-19 pandemic in-person event restrictions and was met with great positivity from Chamber members and residents alike. "We have never done an event this size on a virtual platform, and the results exceeded our expectations. Our community partners, members, donors of auction items and event sponsors were 100% behind the effort and we enlisted the assistance of a local production company to ensure the event would go off without a hitch," says Patrick Ellis, President/CEO of the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce, referring to event production company Star Way. The winners of the evening's Awards were as follows: Chairman's Choice Award: The Frontline Heroes in Southwest Riverside County Ambassador of the Year: Vic Carrillo Murrieta Citizen of the Year: April Vidal Wildomar Citizen of the Year: Cari Gardner Non-profit of the Year: Voices for Children Small Business of the Year: Progressive Health & Performance Medium Business of the Year: Stadium Pizza, Wildomar Large Business of the Year: ABC Child Care Outgoing Chairman of the Board Brad Neet of Southwest Healthcare System presented incoming Chairman of the Board Erik McLeod with a symbolic gavel, outgoing and new members of the Board of Directors were recognized, as well as Awards Celebration Committee members.
