College of Charleston congratulates more than1,800 students who were named to the Fall 2019 President's List and Dean's List. Bevin Murphy of Exeter was named to the College of Charleston Fall 2019 President's List. Murphy is an Undecided major.Ivy Chace of Portsmouth has been named to the President's List. Chace is an English major.Marisa Frizzle of Portsmouth has been named to the President's List. Frizzle is an Undecided major.Michelle Brazeau of Portsmouth has been named to the Dean's List. Brazeau is a Communication major.Emily Howe of Windham, a Finance major, was named to the Dean's List. To qualify for President's List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of 14 semester hours. To quality for Dean's List (Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.600 or higher and complete a minimum of 14 semester hours. The following students were names to the Dean's list for the Fall 2019 semester at Grove City College. Kate Balcom a senior Finance major was named to the Dean's List with High Distinction. Kate is a 2016 graduate of Homeschool and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Webster Balcom (Susan) from Londonderry. Madison McKivergan a senior Mechanical Engineering major was named to the Dean's List. Madison is a 2016 graduate of Homeschool and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick McKivergan (Pauline) from Londonderry. David Harju a junior Mechanical Engineering major was named to the Dean's List. David is a 2017 graduate of Portsmouth Christian Academy and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Harju (Ichiko) from Nottingham. Salvatore Spinosa a senior Mechanical Engineering major was named to the Dean's List. Salvatore is a 2016 graduate of Exeter High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Spinosa (Lili) from Kensington. Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0. For the first time as a senior, Elmira College forward Connor Powell '20 was named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on January 28. The Merrimack, New Hampshire, product led the Soaring Eagles to a pair of conference wins over the weekend, as EC made easy work of King's (Pa.) in a 9-0 victory before edging Wilkes by a 3-2 final score. In those two contests, Powell produced a combined six points on two goals and four assists, three of which were earned on the power play. In the lopsided win over the Monarchs on Friday, Powell potted two goals and added two assists for a single-game season-high four points. The following night he dished out two helpers, including the primary assist on the game-winning power-play goal from Anthony Parrucci '20 early in the third period. Through 17 games, the former All-America selection sits one point shy of the team lead with 24 (9g-15a). Within the UCHC, Powell is tied for fourth in power-play points (14), sixth in points, and eighth in assists. Hannah Wood of Portsmouth has earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Wood was among approximately 4,200 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech's 258th Commencement exercises December 13-14, 2019, at the McCamish Pavilion. Sean Kenny of Bedford was named to the Dean's List at Muhlenberg College for the Fall 2019 semester. Samantha Perry of Bow was named to the Dean's List at Muhlenberg College for the Fall 2019 semester. Students with a term GPA of 3.50 or higher were recognized for this academic achievement. Berube, a member of the Class of 2020, attended Nashua High School South and is the daughter of Gregory and Sarah Berube of Nashua. Berube earned a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher last fall to be included on Colby's Dean's List.
