Guidepost at Kent (southeast of Seattle) will serve students from Nido through Children's House. This school is expected to open summer 2022 Setup Lead: Eric Hobbs Cultural Experience Lead: TBD This new campus setup will include: 2 Nido, 2 Toddler, and 1 Children's House along with all campus common space and staff areas. Campus set ups are a great way to meet and connect with Higher Ground employees, immerse yourself in the process of setting up a beautifully prepared Montessori environment, and make Montessori accessible to more families around the world. Next Steps: After signing up for a Setup Week your Setup and Cultural Leads will connect with you one month before your setup with instructions on booking flights, hotel, and transportation for the week. What I can expect at Setup Week : We’ll gather at 9:00am on Monday morning of your setup week and will typically work from 9:00am-5:00pm each day. While on site your focus should be on executing the set-up and collaborating with the team on site. We expect that you cancel your calendar for the week and that you save any urgent work to be completed before or after the set-up work hours each day Clothes: Wear something comfortable that you can easily move around in – think workout gear or what you would wear on a lazy Saturday; your goal is to be comfortable and flexible as you’ll be moving a lot. We recommend closed toe shoes, particularly on day 1 when we unload the materials truck. Food: You should plan to grab coffee and breakfast independently each morning before you arrive on site. We’ll have snacks and water bottles on site and will plan to take a break for lunch each day. Typically, we order lunch in and send out a link for a group order around 11:00am each day. We’ll also plan to go out to dinner as a group at least one evening. This is a lovely opportunity to connect with the broader team on the set-up and just enjoy everyone’s company.
