Join Columbus Gives Back in volunteering for the Special Olympics Ohio's "Young Athletes Pediatric Screening" Special Olympics Ohio is hosting their first-ever Healthy Young Athletes Pediatric Health Screening! Children ages 2-7 will be screened by pediatric health professionals, and be able to receive free referrals to local physicians. There will also be a resource fair, and fun activities. This is a pilot program, to set pediatric screening standards. What: Help register families, guide them through screening stations, and assist in the resource fair. Where: Kae Avenue Elementary School, 4750 Kae Ave. Whitehall, OH 43213 When: Tuesday, March 29, 6:30pm - 9:30pm Event Leaders: [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: Columbus Gives Back is following all recommended social / hygiene protocols. Masks are no longer required for outdoor events but please bring one to the event in case our nonprofit partners require them. Masks and social distancing are still required for all indoor events. Special Olympics Ohio provides year-round sports training and competition in 18 different sports for nearly 22,000 children and adults giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community. About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local!
