Job Summary: We are in search of energetic candidate as a lead custodian. The applicant will be responsible for general cleanliness of non-public offices (no restrooms) at JFK and LaGuardia Airports. The individual will be responsible for inspecting the custodial work conducted by other company employees at JFK and LaGuardia Airport. The lead custodian will provide guidance and identify areas needing additional attention. Additionally, the individual filling this position will be expected to fill labor gaps and assist other company employees as required. The applicant must be able work effectively with a team as well as working independently. Additionally, the applicant must be able comprehending and following written or verbal directions. The applicant MUST be reliable and have a positive attitude. The following are the essential functions our custodians are responsible for: • Empty waste baskets and replace liners • Sweep and mop all tile areas • Vacuum carpets • Wipe down doors and doorknobs • Dust windowsills, baseboards, and ledges • Wipe/dust all furniture (including desk, tables, and chairs) • Refill paper towel dispenser • Remove wall scuff marks Typical Physical Activity: • Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, bending, and reaching Qualifications/Education/Work Experience: • Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred but not required. • Must be a minimum of 30 years of age.
