A special screening of “Being Mortal,” the groundbreaking PBS Special based upon the best-selling book by Atul Gawande, MD. “BEING MORTAL” A Special Screening of the Groundbreaking Film Following the screening, our hospice specialists will lead a discussion of key themes and the implications for all of us as we come to terms with our own eventual mortality. Each attendee will be provided with a variety of valuable and practical resources, including a worksheet to identify what’s most important to you and your family and a workbook to start documenting your own advance care directives. Why is it so hard for doctors to talk about dying with their patients? And how can the medical profession better help people navigate the final chapters of their lives with confidence, direction and purpose?
