Description

Children will learn about foster care and help prepare bags that will be donated to children entering foster care. Who this in person service event is for: Ages 6-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Due to the nature of this event, we ask that children and siblings outside this age group do not attend. What you'll be doing: Children will learn about foster care, our partner organization My Comfy Kits, make worry dolls, and help inventory bags and supplies that will be donated to children entering foster care. COVID-19 Protocol for In Person Events: Please review our COVID-19 Protocol for In Person Programming before registering for this event. Masks for Supporting Kids Entering Foster Care with My Comfy Kits are optional. Specific Instructions: Please bring camping chairs or large blankets to sit on during the event as well as any donations for kids entering foster care. Donations of new and unused baby lotion, pacifiers, sippy cups, baby blankets, baby clothes, and baby bottles are needed. We invite families and groups to consider conducting a donation drive to collect additional baby item donations from friends, family members, social media contacts, etc (donation drive flyers will be sent in your confirmation email!). Why you'll be asked to pay a supply fee & donate: On the next page you'll be asked to pay a fee to offset supply costs for this event. These fees are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more meaningful service-focused programs for Columbus-area kids. Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds. We never want supply fees to prevent someone from participating in a Seeds of Caring project. If you would like assistance covering your supply fees, please email [email protected] and we will register you for free, no questions asked.
