His curiosity led him to move North, to expand his empathy through new personal endeavors seeing the world in a new light. This process, which he claims all artists must do in some form, has led him towards a new approach to music. He captures it all in his home studio, thinking and singing softly to himself. It's the creative perception he is after - bending his mind with a new approach to song and story. "I listen much differently now, even just sitting at a bar. It brings new ears and much acceptance to the present. That's the first glimpse of art, witnessing creation in real time." His previous pursuit delivered 4 albums, all self released under his own label Norwood Recording Company. His music garnered credit nationally earning him support spots for artists like Gregory Alan Isakov, Anderson Osborne, and Amanda Shires. He's performed across the U.S. at New Orleans Jazz Festival, Festival International de Louisiane and Key West Songwriters Festival. During this stint, he earned a reputation as a drummer performing for many of Louisiana's favorite bands touring from Canada, to New York, to Chicago, and back. His approach as a studio producer allowed him to work with many bands with dozens of records he has contributed to as a musician. He holds a Bachelors in Music Business from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. This homecoming return will explore renditions of his old songs, covers that have inspired him recently, plus a fresh take on some of his newest songs. This is his first live performance in almost 3 years. It's all available in a new format too, via Substack. This is where he writes letters and stories to friends and fans, sharing his songs through conversation. This is where he plans to release all his new music over time. www.seanbrucemusic.com www.seanbruce.substack.com
