Nashua Fire Responds To Apartment Fire On Lock Street

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue was notified of a fire in a four-unit building at 96 Lock St. on Monday around 5:15 p.m. Nashua Fire Chief Rhodes was the first to arrive and reported smoke showing, and tenants of the building were evacuating. Fire crews stretched hose lines from the street and set up a ladder truck to the house which is set back from the street. AMR ambulance crews were notified of an elderly woman who required medical aid and assisted her to a waiting stretcher. Fire crews quickly knocked down the fire in the bottom left apartment of the building. The fire damage was limited to the single apartment, however smoke traveled through the building. All residents made it out of the building safely, and several pets were rescued. Nashua Fire Marshal's Office was on scene investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
