Trinity University to Host 6th Annual Arturo Madrid Lecture Series featuring guest speaker Chicana novelist Helena Maria Viramontes.
This year’s symposium will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. and will feature presentations given by distinguished scholars on the work of Chicana novelist Helena María Viramontes. Invited presenters include: Cordelia Barrera. Ph.D. (Texas Tech University), Mary Pat Brady, Ph.D. (Cornell University), Jody Marin, Ph.D. (Texas A&M Kingsville) and Gabriella Gutiérrez y Muhs, Ph.D. (Seattle University).
The Madrid Lecture will be delivered by Viramontes at 5 p.m. The symposium and Madrid Lecture are free and open to the public. Book signing to follow. Registration is required due to limited space. ProtecTU protocols may be in place. For more information, email [email protected].
