Students and faculty from IU’s Jacobs School of Music will perform a concert of music for peace and hope to show support for the people of Ukraine and provide solace for our community in a troubling time. The concert will take place on Sunday, March 27th, at 7:00 pm at First United Church in Bloomington (2420 E 3rd St.
The concert is free, with donations requested for several agencies assisting with humanitarian aid (see below). Donations can be made directly to the websites of the organizations either before, during, or after the concert.
Donations are requested for the following organizations:
Save the Children: assisting children and families with immediate aid, such as food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support and cash assistance (https://www.savethechildren.org/us/where-we-work/ukraine)
Sunflower of Peace: preparing first aid medical tactical backpacks for paramedics and doctors on the front lines (https://www.sunflowerofpeace.com)
