Speaker Karim Azzat Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace, and blessings be upon him, said, “A time of patience will come to people in which adhering to one’s religion is like grasping a hot coal.” (Sahih Al-Albani) Growing up we are constantly bombarded by negative images and stereotypes about our faith that impact our spirituality. Therefore, we need to return to the essence of our beliefs and remember what we stand for - who is Allah? And who are we? Knowing the answers to questions of faith, the practices, and reasonings behind what Allah has commanded us to do is more vital now than ever before. Knowledge emboldens us, gives us the courage to be fearless, and allows us as Muslims to move through society unapologetically.
