MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Junior High School seventh grade girls volleyball team has advanced to the IESA Class 4A state tournament March 13-14 in Normal. The school said the team defeated New Lenox Liberty Junior High in the sectional championship to advance to state. According to the IESA website, Mokena will play Taylorville at 7 p.m. Friday. The winner of the match will play the winner of Edwardsville and Arlington Heights. The team is coached by Crystal Grimes and Lauren Bullington.
