Young dancers will learn how to eat to feel stronger, lighter and with more energy. “You can’t out-dance a poor diet!” CHALLENGES THAT DANCERS FACE • Fatigue especially during intense training periods or during long competitions • Poor quality food fails to provide energy and can make dancers feel sluggish • Constant pressure to be thin and comparisons to an “ideal dancer’s look” may cause poor body image, placing them at a greater risk for disordered eating • Hectic schedules and parents’ limited time results in more fast food YOUR FACILITATOR María Inés Flores.
