Description
I'm very fortunate to be playing with a familiar name in the Chicago Country/Americana/Honky Tonk neighborhood. Fortunate to be playing with talented people at every position. Like a number of popular bands in town, some of the positions are a few chairs deep, resulting in numerous availability checks having to be made to answer a booking inquiry.
I'm trying to rectify that issue, as you who do the booking for your band can understand. Basically, I'm trying to not have to contact 4 drummers when booking. So...I'm looking for a drummer well seasoned in Prime Country (Alan Jackson, Patty Loveless, Judds), Classic Country (George Jones, Merle Haggard), some Pop (Fleetwood Mac, etc.). A good harmony ear/voice would be nice. We live all over Chicagoland, have a rehearsal space with a drum kit and PA in Skokie, and gigs booked throughout 2022.
I enjoy every drummer I gig with, but I'm NOT looking for another drummer that's is currently in 5 different PROJECTS, and is looking to fill in the remaining 6 dates for the year on their calendar. Our singer and guitar player play once a month with another band of friends at a little tavern gig. I play a duo gig once a week on a Wednesday and occasional weekend dates. When the band isn't booked sometimes we go out as a trio, but that's it. So it's ok the have something on the side, but something that doesn't interfere with the band. We've all been around the block, and are reasonably easy to get along with. We work as much as possible, as this is part or all of everyone's economic model. So if you're a really good country drummer that doesn't need to be in 6 different bands, wants to work some quality gigs with some good players at some nice venues, contact me ASAP. Thanks!!!
