Join the Certified Angler Instructor program and help others learn how to fish!
KS Wildlife and Parks (KWP) is holding a certification class for volunteers who want to join the FishKS Certified Angler Instructor program. Through this program, volunteers are taught how to teach fishing skills to anglers of all ages. The class will run from 10am to 3:30pm, with a break for lunch - bring your own lunch or visit a local eatery. KWP staff and veteran instructors will lead hands-on lessons regarding basic fishing techniques, fish ID, and more. This class is not for those wanting to learn how to fish, but rather for those wanting to teach others how to fish. The class is reserved for those 18 and older, but 12-17 year olds may attend, with a guardian over 18, and join the program as a Junior Ambassador.
