Job description Busy Scottsdale sign shop is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable team player with PREVIOUS SIGN EXPERIENCE. Must have knowledge of various materials used in the sign making industry, and the confidence and skill set to lay vinyl. Must have great attention to detail, the ability to work with your hands, be creative, operate equipment and possess a great attitude. Basic computer skills needed to run machinery, and must have mechanical aptitude to build and make things. Responsibilities will include: Laying printed vinyl on various substrates. Reading and understanding shop work orders. Operating printing equipment and making signs. Operating a Flatbed Printer. Working with vinyl (including, weeding, taping, laying and installing) and many other substrate material. Sign installation. Driving to customers site Comfortable climbing ladders and heights. Safely use and maintain various small hand tools, including an x-acto knife, tape measure. electric hand tools, drills and production tools efficiently. Will work with, operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including wide-format printer, vinyl cutter. Dependable attendance and transportation Cleaning, organizing and maintaining the shop. Well organized with high mechanical aptitude Communicating with customers during installation, friendly demeanor Qualifications: Some sign shop experience highly preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be able to measure and center items on walls. Possess common sense, and come up with solutions. Physical Demand: Must be able to climb a ladder while lifting signs. Physical Demand: Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Physical Demand: Must be able to place onto and retrieve various types of materials from a rack including the upper shelves. Physical Demand: Must be in good physical condition and be able to lift over 50 lbs. Willing to work outdoors and in the AZ summer heat at times Wage rate commensurate with experience. Commission potential for bringing in new business. Paid Time off benefits for Holidays, Sick time and Vacation, after 60 day probation period.
