This is the First Annual NY Face Off Charity Competition hosted by Monroe MedSpa. Master Aesthetic Injectors will compete live for charity! It will be a competition between master injectors. I'm hoping to have 10 participants. They will each have a model and 10 syringes of filler and 1 hour to do a transformation. We are thinking of getting the models from a group that wouldn't necessarily be able to afford something like this. Haven't fully figured that out yet. Or we were going to do a contest on social media to nominate model moms since it is right before Mother's Day. We will take standardized before pics of all the models. I plan on being the mcee and will introduce the injectors and their charities. Everyone will be able to roam around and ask questions and view the procedures. We are hoping to partner with someone to donate some light food and then would want to use the bar. Not sure if part of the bar proceeds could be donated to the winner's charity. We will take final standardized photos and compare the before and afters. The crowd will then vote on the best transformation and the winner selected. We have 3 main goals with the event. First and foremost, I want to raise money for charity. It is sometimes difficult for us to directly give back in a meaningful way. Each registered injector will select a charity of their choice that they are competing for. We will sell tickets on eventbrite and at the door. Cost $20 for admission. We will also have some silent auctions to raise additional funds. Secondly, I want to raise awareness and educate about our industry. This will be a showcase and a way to directly demonstrate what we are capable of doing in a non-surgical setting. Third, I want to try to unite the aesthetic community. Right now it is fragmented and instead of being colleagues we view one another as competition. It leads to poorer results for patients. This is a way to come together. And I guess this just sounds like plain old fun to us. We love and are passionate about what we do and we want to share that with more people. Should be a great event and hopefully one that continues to grow as it moves forward.
