Description
MURRIETA, CA — A small brush fire broke out Wednesday in Murrieta along Interstate 215, but crews worked fast to contain the blaze.
The incident was reported at 12:04 p.m. in vegetation on the east side of northbound freeway lanes, just south of Clinton Keith Road.
The number #3 traffic lane was closed while Murrieta Fire Department crews doused the flames.
As of 12:14 p.m., crews contained the fire to a small area, but cleanup was expected to take approximately 30-35 minutes, according to the California Highway Patrol.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
