The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission presents the 2022 Nonviolence Youth Summit The mission of the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, a division of the Arkansas Department of Education, is to promote and preserve the life and legacy of Dr. King in our state; and to promote the principles of nonviolence and equality among all citizens.  Our community outreach projects are designed to promote education, an appreciation for history, and to encourage youth to engage in positive leadership development and roles within their communities. The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission is gearing up to host the 2022 Nonviolence Youth Summits. These summits educate the youth of Arkansas on professional development, leadership, Arkansas history, crime prevention, and so much more. The AMLKC’s mission with these summits is to teach and reach youth in all regions of the state. These summits are always free and open to all with free meals and other giveaways provided to those that attend. The AMLKC has had great success in holding Nonviolence Youth Summits in all four congressional districts. The Summits have garnered the attendance of hundreds of youths. The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission announces the 2022 Nonviolence Youth Summit coming to downtown Little Rock, Monday, April 4, 2022, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public and youth groups. The Nonviolence Youth Summit will include interactive sessions on conflict resolutions, nonviolence, and leadership. Father and son entrepreneurs Percy Miller better known as music mogul Master P and his son, Romeo Miller will provide keynote presentations.
