BOSTON — Monday marked the first day of the new spring schedule in effect for trains on the MBTA. The Green Line will see weekday schedule shifts throughout the day, and the C branch of the Green Line will add a weekday trip, the MBTA said. No other subway lines will experience service changes, but bus service will increase weekday frequencies on the 116, 117, and 450 route buses. On the route 32 bus, weekday service will resume in the morning, afternoon, and evening between Cleary Square and Forest Hills, but between Wolcott Square and Cleary Square, weekday frequency will decrease. The MBTA suspended some low-ridership routes, to reallocate service to transit-critical communities, due to changes in ridership during the pandemic, a spokesperson said. Routes 77, 120, 442, and 455 will have less frequent service, and many other routes will have routing changes. Check here for a full list of changes. Weekend service resumes for F2H, which serves Hingham, Hull, Logan Airport, and Long Wharf. Starting March 21, the Union Square station will join the Green Line as part of the Green Line Extension. Subway schedules will be posted sometime this month, an official said.
