ARLINGTON, VA — A D.C. man was arrested on charges of brandishing a gun Friday after an incident with another motorist on Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon, the Arlington County Police Department said Monday.
After his arrest, Darren Dolan, 30, was released on a summons, police said.
At about 6 p.m. Friday, a person was driving on Wilson Boulevard near N. 10th Street in Clarendon when Dolan attempted to merge his vehicle into the person's lane.
After he was unable to merge, Dolan rolled down his window and got into an argument with the victim, police said. During the argument, Dolan brandished a firearm, according to police.
The victim then drove away from the area. A short time later, Arlington police officers found Dolan's vehicle in the 800 block of N. Pollard Street and saw him return to the vehicle.
Officers pulled Dolan over and took him into custody without incident. Police saw a gun in the passenger seat and recovered it, police said.
