Students from area towns like Lemont, Lockport, New Lenox, Frankfort and Mokena recently made Dean's List and received scholarships. The following information was provided by Merit Pages News: University of Mississippi Announces Fall 2020 Chancellor's Honor Roll The University of Mississippi recently announced students named to the Fall 2020 Honor Roll lists, including Chancellor's Honor Roll.The Chancellor's Honor Roll is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00. "Our Chancellor's Honor Roll students deserve a great deal of recognition for their pursuit of academic excellence and incredible achievements," said Chancellor Glenn Boyce. "These students represent some of the best and brightest at the University of Mississippi, and I'm thrilled to congratulate them for their pursuit of personal and academic greatness." More than 80 student-athletes named academic all-Big Ten More than 80 University of Iowa student-athletes to have been named to the 2020 Big Ten Fall Academic All-Conference team. The list includes student-athletes from Iowa's men's cross country, women's cross country, field hockey, football, women's soccer, and volleyball teams and four student-athletes who had perfect grade point averages. The following students from the area made the list: Abigail Marie Foote of New Lenox Carley Katherine Smith of New LenoxSophia Tally, of Lemont The Dean's Honor Roll is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74. In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester. Kelsey Ray named to Wartburg College Fall Term Dean's List Kelsey Ray of Lockport was named to the Wartburg College Fall Term Dean's List. The college recognized 517 students for Fall Term. The list honors students who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above in at least four course credits during the term. Three of the four course credits have to be graded with a traditional letter grade. Submitted from Nancy Arndt Gina Marie Arndt, of Mokena, was named to the Dean's List at DePaul University in Chicago.
