Press release from the City of Irving: March 14, 2022 TxDOT will close the westbound State Highway (SH) 183 on-ramp from Spur 482 from 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 16.   The westbound SH 183 on-ramp from southbound Loop 12 will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, March 17 to 5 a.m. Friday, March 18. Detour signage will be posted for each ramp closure. Drivers should plan ahead for extra travel time and seek alternate routes. This work is part of the ongoing $301 million Irving Interchange project that will reconstruct the interchanges at SH 183, SH 114, Loop 12 and Spur 482. The project is anticipated to complete in mid-2023, weather permitting.  Message boards have been placed to alert drivers of upcoming construction activities. TxDOT is urging motorists to use caution in the work zone. Visit www.DriveTexas.org for the latest road closures on this project and others.
