MOKENA, IL — A man has been charged with robbery after his involvement in a robbery at the Mokena Verizon store in February, police said. Antione Fulton, 22, of Chicago, was taken into custody Tuesday, but has since posted bail.
Police Chief Steve Vaccaro said the department worked with local and federal agencies during its investigation.
"It was excellent work by my investigators," he said.
Fulton is charged with robbery from an incident on Feb. 6 at Verizon, 19200 S. La Grange Road. Two men, one now identified as Fulton, stole several phones and Apple Watches, according to police. Employees were forced into a back room during the robbery, and the men fled the scene in a car reported stolen out of Chicago.
Vaccaro said police continue to investigate the identity of the second man.
A warrant was issued earlier this month for Fulton's arrest, and the Will County Sheriff's Office served the warrant on July 21. Fulton's next court date was not yet listed.
