Here are the top stories today in Bedford: The New Hampshire Jewish Film Festival is returning to theaters in four cities with a virtual screening option. The festival will take place from March 31-April 10 in Concord, Keene, Manchester and Portsmouth, and will feature independent and foreign films from 12 countries including Belarus, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and the United States. NHJFF co-chair Ross Fishbein, of Bedford, credited "devoted volunteers" who spent the year screening documentaries, comedies, dramas and shorts for the festival, and added, "We're bringing these movies to you first," before they reach cable or Netflix. It's a fun way to raise funds for Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock as members of law enforcement in blue and the fire services in red played ice hockey in Manchester on Sunday to raise funds for charity. The 14th annual event raised over $210,000 — a number that organizers say will continue to grow "thanks to additional incoming donations." You can read the full story here: (Patch) Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray has named Paul W. Brown as the special agent in charge of the Mobile Field Office in Alabama. Brown told NBC 15 News that as the war continues and sanctions start to have a greater impact on Russia, the FBI is anticipating more cyberattacks targeting businesses in America. Brown joined the FBI in 2006 and was first assigned as a special agent to the Bedford Resident Agency in New Hampshire, a sub-office of the Boston Field Office. He worked in criminal violations before making the move to counterterrorism as the coordinator of the Joint Terrorism Task Force. He has served in Iraq to support counterterrorism efforts.
