NAPERVILLE, IL — A fundraiser designed to help the family of two Naperville men who were found in the open water near Johnsburg last weekend has raised more than $3,500 after the pair was discovered dead while on a fishing trip. The two men were identified last week as Robert Justin Clow, 31, and Theodor Wachter, 89, both of whom were found in the open water near Coon Island. Local authorities said that the two men were reported missing by their family at 6 a.m. on March 6 and were last seen at Oak Park Lounge. Rescue crews were called to Pistakee Lake around 3 p.m. and began surveying the shoreline of the lake before finding the two men. The pair was on an ice fishing trip and fishing gear was found near their bodies, police said. The Go Fund Me, which was started on Sunday, has raised more than $3,600 as of Monday. The fundraising page said that funds would go to pay for Clow and Wachter, who was identified as "grandpa" by organizer Brett Hinkhouse. According to his obituary, Clow — who was born in St. Charles — is survived by He is by his parents, Susan S. Clow of Naperville and R. Shawn Clow of Darien, Wis. along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins to many. Toxicology reports are still pending and McHenry County Coroner Dr. Michael Rein told Patch on Monday that results could take months to be finalized from the incident.
