JOLIET, IL — A 37-year-old Joliet man who lists the Daybreak Shelter as his address was arrested Sunday night on felony disorderly conduct charges. According to Joliet police reports, Cedric Allen called 911 around 10:45 p.m. reporting a robbery taking place in the 300 block of North Broadway Street. "It was learned that Allen had called 911 indicating that someone had attempted to rob him of his book," police spokesman Dwayne English indicated. When an officer found Allen, he could not give them any information about the robbery, police reports show. "Officers made contact with Allen, who was unable to provide any information about the alleged robbery, and immediately asked for a ride. Officers determined that this incident was the third time in the last 24 hours that Allen had called 911 requesting emergency assistance when no emergency was actually taking place." Allen was booked into the Will County Jail around 12:45 a.m. on Monday.
