MOKENA, IL — The Forest Preserve District of Will County's program lineup includes online and small, in-person programs where masks and social distancing are required, including the Soup-er Chili: Hike to the Bridge event on Jan 9. The event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 9 at Hickory Creek Preserve - La Porte Road access. According to the preserve, you can bring your hiking boots, a mug and a can of soup or chili. Two pots will be available, one for chili and one for soup, and they will simmer over an open flame while participants set out for a 3-mile hike. The event is free, and for ages 10 or older. You can register online.
