Mokena School District 159 will receive single prime sealed bids for the Mokena 2021 Civil Upgrades project until 2:00pm local time on October 21, 2020 at the Mokena School District Office, 11244 Willowcrest Lane, Mokena, IL 60448, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Contractors are allowed to attend the bid opening in person while maintaining appropriate social distancing, with the following requirements:  Masks covering ones nose and mouth must be worn at all time while in the building, and all contractors must sign in prior to entry to the building.   Bidding documents, including the Proposal Form, Drawings and Specifications, will be provided to the following: Construction Data Company (Construct Connect), 800-652-0008, www.cdcnews.com Construction Market Data (Construct Connect), 800-4242-3996, www.cmdgroup.com Dodge Data & Analytics, 877-784-9556, www.construction.com Greater Peoria Contractors & Suppliers Assoc, 309-692-5710, www.gpcsa.org iSqFt (Construct Connect), 800-364-2059, www.isqft.com Master Builders of Iowa, 800-362-2578, www.mbionline.com Northern Illinois Building Contractors Association, 815-229-5636, www.nibca.build This project includes:  Civil Work at the Elementary and Junior High Schools.  American Reprographics Company (www.e-arc.com), 640 North LaSalle Street, Suite 240, Chicago, IL, will have complete sets of the Bidding Documents to prospective bidders and subcontractors available for download through their Public Planroom under the "Print Center" link on their homepage.  The Bid Documents will be available about September 25, 2020.  There is no cost to download the drawings, however, prospective bidders must provide all requested information when completing the download process in order that they will receive proper updates.  Prospective bidder may choose to purchase hard copies of the Bidding Documents from American Reprographics Company at their own expense.  There will be no pre-meeting.  However, school is not in session and the sites are open for contractors to drive or walk the exterior of the buildings.  The District must be contacted 48 hours prior to any contractor arriving on site.  Contractors can call or email the contact below: Chris Crawford, Facility Director Mokena 159; email:  [email protected]; phone:  708-342-4933 Make proposals  on the bid forms supplied in the Project Manual.  No oral, telegraphic or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered.  Submit with each bid, a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Mokena School District 159 in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid.  The successful bidder will be requireed to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work as ascertained by the IL Dept of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records,m in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and shall comply with all applicable IL statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws. Bids may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the Owner.  The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding.   The Owner requires Substantial Completion of the project on or before August 13, 2021.
