18-Year-Old Dies In Oakdale In Fiery Wreck

OAKDALE, MN — An 18-year-old man from Lake Elmo died in a fiery two-car crash in Oakdale early Saturday morning. The crash happened just before 3:50 a.m. on Saturday at 50th Street North and Hadley Avenue North. Police responded to the scene on a report of a fire, and one of the cars was "fully engulfed" in flames. The Lake Elmo driver was pronounced dead. The other driver, a 38-year-old from Oakdale, was taken to Regions Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Oakdale Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating.
